It’s that time again. Starting on October 26th, registration for the spring of 2027 classes will open and advising season will officially begin. The last day to sign up for the spring semester closes on Friday, November 6th at 4:30 PM. Any scheduling after that will result in a $100 late fee.
The first step would be to make sure you’re able to sign up for classes. If you’re significantly behind on your payments for college, you will most likely have to meet with someone in the Student Accounts Office before you’re even cleared schedule your next courses.
After you’re cleared, you’ll need to set up a meeting with your academic advisor through email or in person where you’ll choose a date and a time to meet with your advisor. As students are unable to add classes themselves, they must meet with their academic advisor to ensure they’re on the right track, picking the right courses, etc. Next, right beside My Advisor Meeting is a section called Schedule Your Classes. Updating your Personal Information and Registration Agreement before the meeting is easier than waiting and forgetting.
The third step is figuring out what classes you still need to take for your major, minor or general course needs. You can find this out by looking at My Degree Program, located under My Advisor Meeting. Once you click on View All Details. To find out what classes are available for the spring and the times of those classes, click on the Student Tab and then go to course schedule. After all of these steps are done and you ultimately have a schedule for next year, you are good to go!
